Arsenal seeks global tie-ups

Arsenal Football Club is on the hunt for partners to assist its brand-building efforts in international markets.

Angus Kinnear, who was recently promoted to the new role of marketing director at the club, said it was looking for brands of a similar size to existing sponsor Emirates. Arsenal agreed a 15-year deal worth £100m with Emirates in 2004. There is still speculation around Premier League matches being played outside England, dubbed the ‘39th game’. ‘If it was suitable and worked for the club, I would be supportive of it ­ it would help our global fans engage further with us,’ said Kinnear.
